Austenitic Steels are also known as chromium-nickel steels as chromium and nickel are the main alloying elements.

Super Austenitic Steels are very high-alloyed stainless steels. Compared to the common austenites, they show higher portions of the alloying elements chromium and nickel or also molybdenum. Super austenitic steels are therefore particularly suitable for applications where there is a very high risk of corrosion.
