Overview:
Inconel 601 Alloy is actually chromium and nickel-based alloy that is used for those applications that need corrosion and heat resistance. This alloy effectively stands out because of high resistance to greater temperature oxidation and remains to be oxidation resistant at 2200 Deg F. this alloy is developed tight adherent oxide scale that helps in resisting spalling even at the condition of the thermal cycling. Also, the alloy is having good temperature strength and retains the ductility after exposure to longer service life. It is having high resistance ability to aqueous corrosion and haven greater mechanical strength and is formed, welded and machined readily. This alloy property is making it of greater utility in various applications.
A nickel-chromium alloy with an addition of aluminium for outstanding resistance to oxidation and other forms of high-temperature corrosion. It also has high mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. Used for industrial furnaces; heat-treating equipment such as baskets, muffles, and retorts; petrochemical and other process equipment; and gas-turbine components.
